Following on the success of my Robert Burns versions, I asked Dr. Fred Freeman to produce a traditional album for me. Contrary to people's idea of my roots, I had never much touched traditional song until this point. It was very rewarding. It was recorded in my own studio and mixed and mastered at Pier House in Edinburgh.
It received amazing reviews and is a definite contender for my best album. Well...the musicianship is provided by Ian Lowthian, Dougie Pincock, Catriona Macdonald and Malcolm Stitt (and me).
It led to my most recent CD "Young Territorial" which at time of writing is just hot off the press. Crossing fingers and toes that it's at least as successful as this album was.
